Introduction to Zhejiang Zhehang Law Firm

Zhejiang Zhehang Law Firm is one of the earliest law firms in Zhejiang Province since the resumption of the lawyer system in 1979 with the predecessor of "Hangzhou Legal Advisory Office".It was renamed as "Hangzhou First Law Firm" in 1985 and was named "Zhejiang Zhehang Law Firm" in 1998.In 2000, it achieved the restructuring of state-owned assets, and moved to Qianjiang New Town in 2013.Since 2019, the annual revenue of Zhehang Law Firm Headquarters has continued to exceed 100 million CNY, and it transformed into a special general partnership law firm in 2021.

Zhejiang Zhehang Law Firm currently has 432 employees, including 348 practicing lawyers and 49 partners. The headquarters has 195 employees,of whom 159 practicing lawyers.Now it has 10 branches in Qiantang District, Huzhou, Shaoxing, Ningbo, Yuyao, Yueqing, Wenzhou, Wenling, Longgang and Kunming.

Zhejiang Zhehang Law Firm has always insisted on developing in inheritance, growing in development, constantly innovating, pursuing excellence ,improving its services, and has won numerous honors including "National Excellent Law Firm", "National Advanced Collective of Legal Aid Work" and "Excellent Law Firm of Zhejiang Province", "Famous Law Firm of Zhejiang Province", etc.

Nowadays, Zhejiang Zhehang Law Firm has established 9 legal service centers, 27 business departments and 1 mediation studio, covering government and enterprise legal advisers,tax planning and risk management, internet information, finance and insurance,and other business areas.At the same time, as one of the first 15 members of the lawyer mediation studios in Hangzhou,Zhejiang Zhehang Law Firm has summarized and formed a working model of "posting lawyers+ taking orders + centralized trinity", and actively exploring a new market-oriented model of lawyer mediation,to contribute Zhehang power to constructe a law-based society.

The Ministry of Justice has issued a notice on restoring the lawyer system, and the first lawyer institution in Zhejiang Province, the "Hangzhou Legal Advisory Office," has rebuilt the first floor of the Intermediate People's Court.

1981

Yuan Xianming, Li Chunfa, Yao Qingcheng, Cao Xing, Wang Zhijian, Liu Xisheng, Wei Jianxin and Li Jialu became the first batch of lawyers in China after the reconstruction of the lawyer system.
August 4 ，Hangzhou Legal Advisory Office hanged out it’s shingle at No.4 Liuying Road, carried out its lawyer business and opened the "West Lake Era".

1982

The Judicial Bureau provides vehicles for the Hangzhou Legal Advisory Office

1984

the legal advisory office was renamed as "Hangzhou First Law Firm" after the trial implementation of the fund management system of full management, balance subsidy, excess commission and self-supporting.

1986

Convene a summary and award ceremony for part-time invited lawyers

1987

Part time invited lawyer summary award ceremony and lawyer legal speech competition. it moved to the Municipal Government Building at No.484 Yan'an Road, and opened the "Wulin era". Relocate to the Municipal Government Comprehensive Building located at 484 Yan'an Road for office work, and move towards the 'Wulin Era'. Hangzhou Industrial Building and Hangzhou Industrial Operation Company have hired Hangzhou First Law Firm as their legal advisors.

it was renamed as "Guanghua Law Firm (Hangzhou)".

1998

Fang Shaoqing, former deputy director of Hangzhou First Law Firm, was elected as the third president of the Hangzhou Bar Association.
Named as "Zhejiang Zhehang Law Firm".

2000

it achieved the restructuring of state-owned assets and turned to a cooperative law firm.
The pilot work of cooperative law firms has been launched, transforming from "state-owned assets firms" to "cooperative firms".

2005

it was transformed from "Cooperative Institute"to"Partnership Service".
Successfully transformed from a "cooperative institution" to a "partnership institution".

2008

it was named "Youth Civilization of Zhejiang Province" by Communist Youth League of Zhejiang Province.

2013

Huacheng International Development Building, located in Qianjiang New City CBD, is moving towards the "Qianjiang Era" for office space

2015

The first branch of the "Zhehang Lawyer" brand, now Zhejiang Zhehang (Qiantang District) Law Firm, was unveiled and established

2016

Awarded the honorary title of "National Excellent Law Firm" by the selection agency jointly composed of the Ministry of Justice, All China Lawyers Association, Supreme People's Court, Supreme People's Procuratorate, Ministry of Public Security and other departments.
September ，it was awarded the "National Advanced Collective of Legal Aid Work" by the Ministry of Justice.

2017

Recognized as a "Famous Law Firm in Zhejiang" in the province's "Famous Law Firm, Famous Product, and Famous Lawyer" cultivation project

2018

it moved to the core landmark of Qianjiang New Town, "Raffles City", and opened the "Qianjiang Era 2.0".
it was awarded the first prize by the Party Committee of the National Lawyer IndustryA number of honorary titles of "Advanced Party Organizations in the National Lawyer Industry".

2019

it participated in the mediation of more than 600 cases of first and second instance appointed by the people's courts at the municipal and district levels, and succeeded in 104 cases.
January 4，"Lawyer Mediation Studio of Zhejiang Zhehang Law Firm", one of the first 15 lawyer mediation studios in the city, was licensed and established. In May, the first market-oriented lawyer mediation business which was directly entrusted and paid by the parties，was successfully mediated and judicially confirmed.
Annual revenue exceeded 100 million.

2021

December 8,Zhejiang Provincial Department of Justice formally approved the change of the organizational form of Zhejiang Zhehang Law Firm from a cooperative law firm to a special general partnership law firm.
Successfully restructured into a special general partnership law firm.
